URGENT! Bourbon Orleans hit-by-car 17 days ago–in serious pain

We received a plea on Thursday that there was a cute shih tzu in the SPCA in Louisiana that had been hit by a car and had a broken front leg.

Well, we said, "send him over."  Why, I have no idea.  We are so behind in funding our urgent care dogs from last quarter, I must be crazy.  But, he’s here now.

I emailed the x-rays to Dr. Beale at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists – the amazing orthopedic surgeon that fixes all of our broken kids.  He said it was an old break but we could schedule surgery Tuesday, yes Tuesday, and get him fixed up.  The cost should be $3,500.

He is in serious pain right now.  Won’t put any weight on it and flinches when you even touch him.

We’d like to get him fixed up, but of course, desperately need the funds.

HERE is his paypal link.

We need to have his funding ready before Tuesday morning.

Of course, Orleans accepts checks too.

McVie Harris–seriously, a HOT MESS!

Mr McVie Harris was pulled from the local animal shelter in horrible shape.  As it turns out, he has two punctured eyes, a broken jaw, a jaw so infected, it is "smushy," and a tooth abcess that may erupt into his sinus cavity.  PITIFUL.  Very sweet.

He collapsed while we were removing all the mats, so he was rushed to the ICU at Gulf Coast.

They checked him out and pronounced him ok to leave, but with a ton of meds.

His expenses in ICU were high, so if you’d like to help this adorable, gorgeous, albeit ancient, little old man, please CLICK HERE.

Thank you!

Am I ever lucky that my foster Dad took me to the Meet and Greet. Because, I met my new “furever” family there! I am so happy they found me!! My new Mom and Dad are Linda and Robert Toerner. They have two children who are going to be my best buds. I can’t wait to get to know Bobby and Katherine. And, I even have a 4-legged sister named Sweetie. We are ALL going to have a great time together!!! Don’t we all look great and can you see the big smile on my face??????

Adopted – JoJo Turner

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!!! I hit the doggie lottery! I have a new “Furever Home” with Mary Boenker and we are going to live in Fredericksburg. I already love my new Mom because she said she loved me at first sight! Mom changed my name to Kirby and I am getting used to that and I like it. My Mom’s daughter also thinks that I am very special. I hope she visits us often, but if she does that means I will have to get off my Mom’s lap!!!

Adopted – America Harris

My name is America and I have a new home!!! I was on the transport with Bob from Texas to go to my new foster home in Mt. Carmel, Illinois. My foster mom is Mary Holtsclaw and this is a picture of us that Bob took when we first met. Well, let me tell you what happened. My great little “pup-onality” won over my foster Mom and now she is my FOREVER Mom. Is that not just the best thing that could ever happen to a girl????? Absolutely. I love my new Mom and my new home.
