I KNOW you remember Repo – adorable little tzu mix puppy eaten up with mange and mangled legs. We fixed the mange then fixed his legs. He had multiple surgeries and it beat up on his immune system so badly, the mange came back. Got his skin back on track and he started having little seizures. Last week, he had an episode of having trouble wheezing. Dr. Moore found he had a minor collapsing trachea. Tonight, FM Elaine found him again having trouble breathing and with very light gums. We just rushed him to GCVS Critical Care and ICU.

Good grief!  He has pneumonia!

You know we’ve tapped out all of our funds for the past seven sick dogs. We desperately need donations to care for REPO!!

Please help us with Repo.  No contribution is too small.  For the best chance of recovery, he will have to stay hospitalized for several days.  GCVS pulled Bunting and Daisy May through.  I think they can pull Repo through.

We’ve set up a paypal for him.  CLICK HERE to donate for this adorable little man to survive.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to email me:  teresa@shihtzu-rescue.com.

You can follow his progess on our facebook page:  www.facebook.com/lsstlar.

Thank you for what you allow us to do!

Several weeks ago, a puppymill with 78 dogs was busted in Waco Texas.  Horrible conditions, of course, pitiful looking dogs.  We spoke with the humane society and told them we would support them in whatever way they needed.

We kept  hearing stories that the dogs would be returned to the owners so basically didn’t make a big deal out of it.

Two days ago, the court awarded the dogs to the Humane Society, but the owners said they would appeal, so again, we didn’t make a big deal out of it.

Tonight, we got the call.  The owners decided not to appeal so the dogs are now owned by the Humane Society.

Tomorrow, I am driving up to Waco with another volunteer to pick up six shih tzu and likely two lhasas.

We NEED HELP!  IMMEDIATE  HELP.

Sweet boy - wanted to be petted.a little shy, but very sweet100_1631100_16333 females100_1635

I have a new home! My foster Mom Savannah found me a super forever home with Julie Hendrix. Julie has adopted from Lone Star before and I am going to have a sister, Olivia, to play with. I am Julie’s third Lone Star adoption. Pretty cool!!! My foster Mom forgot to take a picture of me when she took me to my new home. I think my new Mom might be able to get one or two of me. Maybe at the dog park………..

I have a new Mom! And, I have a new brother!! My Mom is Melissa Gonzalez and she has an 11 year old son who is very anxious to have me in the family. I see lots of play time ahead of me! We will be living in San Antonio. My foster Mom drove me there to meet my new family. She brought her camera to take a picture but SHE FORGOT TO TAKE A PICTURE!! I think she was just so happy to see that I have a new family, she got all flustered. If she would have taken that picture she would have seen a very happy face, actually three very happy faces – my new Mom, my new brother and ME!!

I have a new forever home and I am so happy! My new Mom and Dad are Bill and Evelyn Hood and I am headed for North Carolina! WOW!! I think I will like it there – I hear the weather is great. But, what is REALLY great is that I will have a new start on life, with my own family. And, that’s a good thing!!!

So, the best thing has happened to me. My foster mom is a foster failure. That means that she decided to adopt me and have me be a permanent member of the family. WOW!! To me that’s not a failure!!! It’s an absolutely perfect thing for me. I can now call her my forever “Mom” and Buster my canine brother. I blossomed at this house with all the love and care my foster mom gave me. I am now a very happy, spirited, bright-eyed guy who holds his tail high!! I give that tail a lot of ways because I am so happy. What a great life I have ahead of me.

I have a new forever home with Sandy and David Hadesty and I will have two Shih Tzu siblings. What a great life I have ahead of me. Thanks to my very best foster mom Kim for making this all happen. I will be arriving at my new home this weekend and I CAN”T WAIT!!!

Lucky dog, lucky dog, that’s me! Arthur Ricks adopted me and I am going to be an only child -oops dog. That means I will get my new Dad’s full attention and that’s a good thing. My foster dad Rick says that I am very special. He also says that he is so very glad that Arthur is giving me my very own forever home. That’s what I call special.

We promise to be good as we are so lucky to have found our forever home. Thank you Lone Star for finding our new Mom and Dad for us!!

I am one lucky guy. I’ve been adopted by a great couple! It was obvious they loved me when they saw me. Can you see how my new Dad is rubbing my tummy!!! I see lots of tummy rubs in my future. My new Mom and Dad are Isaac and Ashanti Ayoub and I am going to love them as much as they love me. Oh, and I have a new sibling too. Way cool.
